On June 25, the main running event of the city took place in Odessa – the Arcelor Mittal Odesa Half Marathon 2017.

It was the second time when Odessa International Half Marathon, bringing together over 2,000 participants from 25 countries of the world.

7,000 people have come to look at race and to support friends and relatives. Another good thing about it is that the Arcelor Mittal Odesa Half Marathon 2017 has collected not only inhabitants of Odessa, but also guests from other cities and even countries: USA, Belarus, Estonia, Moldova, France, Spain, Italy and others states.

Already by tradition, employees of the crewing Columbia Shipmanagement Ukraine also took part in this brilliant event. In contrast to last year, the Arcelor Mittal Odesa Half Marathon 2017 was attended not only by office workers of CSM UA but also by the crew. The second Engeneer Mr Aleksandr Pravedniy (ex FSL New York).

There were two teams in CSM UA: 8 girls and 9 guys including Directors of the company.

Moreover the men’s team of CSM ran the maximum distance – all half-marathon of 21 ,0975 kilometers.

Competition was in difficult conditions. Participants started at 8 a.m at a temperature of +20 °C, but very quickly became intolerable hot – literally, in an hour temperature has grown to +30 °C and above.

About 200 volunteers provided participants with water, controlled work of so-called “points of cooling’, showed the way and carried out other duties. The women’s team of CSM has won 5-kilometer running, and showed a good results in this distance.

Columbia Shipmanagement Ukraine is very glad to be a part of this great event. We are sure that run helps to cope with accumulated stress, fatigue and negative energy.
